Hey friends! Each month we’ll be sharing some family fun ideas at the beginning of the month!
March is still snowy, but we’re wanting to get outside a little more each day! This month our family fun suggestions are a mix of indoor and outdoor activities.
Here are some of our ideas you can try this month!

Visit the Library! With all the lockdowns and restrictions, I bet a lot of us have forgotten that the Library is a magical land full of adventure and family fun! Our Hamilton Public Library is offering some great activities online, and is welcoming patrons back in the library to borrow books! Did you know that with your children’s Hamilton Public Library Card you can visit 8 local museums for free!
Make Green Eggs And Ham! To celebrate Dr. Seuss Day, get creative and whip up some green eggs and ham! This post is a little later than the official Dr.Seuss day, but that doesn’t mean we can’t spread it out a little bit!
St Patrick’s Day is a great day to celebrate… maybe you’ll even get a bit of extra luck! Here’s our ideas: Read a book about Ireland, Plan a trip to Ireland- pick where you would stay, what you would eat, and what your itinerary would be! You don’t have to book the tickets… just pretend! Wear green, orange and white for the day, eat classic Irish Pub foods.
Celebrate spring by planting some seedlings. Watch them grow as a family and learn how to take care of plants! Some seeds you can start in March: Tomatoes (March 15), Cabbage, Broccoli, Marigolds, Thyme, Sage, Peppers
Host an outdoor scavenger hunt- The snow is melting, that means that there are treasures to be found in the melting snow! Make a list of colours, letters, sounds or shapes that you and the kiddos can look for!
