Hey friends! Each month we’ll be sharing some family fun ideas at the beginning of the month!
Here are some of our ideas you can try this month!

Happy SpooOOoooKKyYY October! Here are some fun family activities to do this month!
Watch The Sunset…and then Stargaze!
Grab a cozy blanket and bundle up! An earlier sunset means that its more feasible for the littles to stay up and experience it! Watch the beautiful fall sunset, and then do some stargazing! Teach or learn about the constellations together!
When I moved out to the country when I was 12, I learned about Flashlight Tag… my new friends had been playing it forever on the farm!
Grab some flashlights and head out to the backyard for this fun new spin on tag! If the light touches you- you’re out!
Go On A Leaf Collecting Walk & Leaf Rubbing
I just love the fall leaves! I look forward to this season ALL YEAR! Hamilton is home to some beautiful trails, so layer-up and go on a hunt and see who can collect the most colourful leaves! When you’re done, come back home and try your hand at leaf rubbings! Grab some crayons, or pencils or even chalk, and a piece of paper. Rub your tools of choice on the paper with the leaves underneath and see how creative you can get!
Visit a Corn Maze
There are some great farms around the outskirts of Hamilton, and they usually have some form of a corn maze! A classic Fall tradition.
Bob for Apples
Whether you pick your own or grab some great seasonal apples at the grocery store, why not get creative next snack time! Grab a little tub and fill it with water and bob for apples as a family!
Read Halloween Books
Get your spook on at story time with a Halloween book! We’ll have a list of our top 6 Halloween books that are available at the Hamilton Public Library on our Facebook page this month!
